Security Officer I- Oviedo Campus (1st Shift, 7AM - 3PM)

Seminole State College of Florida is accepting applications for a Security Officer I for our Oviedo Campus. **This position is for the 1st Shift from 7am to 3 pm at the Oviedo campus** This position ensures traffic safety, protection of college property, students, and personnel and the preservation of good order and offers assistance to college personnel, students, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Officers are assigned to rotating shifts, and shift assignments are based on department need.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
2. Valid Florida driver's license or a valid driver's license from another state with the ability to obtain a Florida driver's license within 30 days of employment.
3. Certified in CPR/First Aid/AED. If not currently certified, must become certified within 6 months of employment. Certification must be kept current and active.
4. Security or related training certificate that meets or exceeds security requirements under Florida Statute 493 Class D License required. Certification must be kept current and active.
5. Demonstrated experience utilizing various Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel) and other applicable software programs (i.e. Security Camera/Access Control Monitoring).

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience as a security officer/guard or in a position with similar duties.
