Job Summary

As a Cook, you are responsible for preparing and presenting high quality dishes to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Cook will also be required to prepare all mis-en-place and contribute to departmental targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
  • Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
  • Stock and maintain designated food station(s)
  • Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Positive attitude
  • Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menus
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
  • Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
  • Awareness of departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team
  • Be environmentally aware

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 2+ years’ experience as a Cook in the restaurant industry
  • Able to read and follow standardized recipes
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
  • Serve Safe Certification preferred
  • Positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work on own or in teams
