The Orange County Sheriff's Office in Orlando, Florida invites applicants to apply for the position of Part-Time Career Development HRD Analyst.

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs human resources related functions and services in Career Development to support the agency needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • U.S. Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card
  • Clean criminal history; any arrest history will be individually evaluated.
  • No illegal drug usage within the past two years, all other usage will be evaluated on an individual basis.
  • Must be able to comprehend and communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have an Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college and two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to utilize intermediate computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, statistical analysis, and other specialized applications to effectively research information.
  • Ability to file and maintain confidential and sensitive information; log data into computer files.
  • Ability to collect and conduct statistical analysis on various types of data.
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking in front of audiences varying in size and/or in a classroom setting, as required.
  • Ability to prepare routine correspondence, memorandums, reports, and other documents.
  • May be required to conduct research and develop reports/publications for distribution; gather statistical information for reports.
  • Ability to provide guidance and assistance to agency employees in filling out paperwork.
  • Must possess meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize information appropriately and have strong organizational management to meet very strict deadlines.
  • Must possess professionalism in oral, written, and interpersonal communication with employees, coworkers, and citizens.
  • Ability to complete special projects when necessary. Must use problem-solving skills and work with minimal supervision.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Applicants with body ornamentation (tattoos) shall not have any visible body ornamentation on the head, face, and neck area, which includes the visible skin while wearing a collared uniform shirt with an unbuttoned top button.  Employees shall not have any visible body ornamentation located on the hands which is defined as the area from wrist to fingertips; however, a tattoo simulating a wedding ring on the ring finger of the left hand will not be considered excessive as described herein.  Applicants are encouraged to read the agency body ornamentation policy before applying.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience writing and editing job descriptions and job task analyses.
  • Experience developing and validating test materials.
  • Experience analyzing various types of data..

SALARY:  $17.81/hour or $18.35/hour with 3+ years of experience
