Press Assistant

Printing and Distribution Company in Sanford, Florida is seeking a stable, motivated individual who is capable of assisting in the running of their Harris V-15, Harris V-22 and Press Web Corp 4 high.

Duties will include, but not limited to;

• Preparing and setting up the press for a run by verifying job specification
• Checking job jackets for special Instructions
• Checking ink levels and refilling if necessary
• Work on counterveyor system, prepping the machine for the next job and stacking the product

May have the opportunity to be trained in other areas such as bindery, electrical and mechanics

Requires:

Frequent lifting up 75 pounds

Move heavy skids with fork truck or pallet jack

Move rolls of paper stock from 400 to 1000 pounds (rolling paper on their diameter)

Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail and time management skills

Must have valid driver’s license for occasional deliveries

Printing experience preferred, but not necessary (will train)

Salary: $11.00

Shift: 8:00-5:00 (opportunity for overtime after training)

Term: Fulltime to Hire
