Halloween Horror Nights candidates would need to be available to attend daytime orientations in July and work evenings and late nights from August through early November. Holiday candidates need to be available for daytime and evening shifts beginning October 2019 through early January 2020 including all major holidays.

STAGE MANAGER: Supervise the operating and maintaining of multiple venues and casts during the event. Oversee a team of Assistant Stage Managers, Coordinators, and Technicians and be able to fill in for them as needed. Duties include, but are not limited to: monitoring performance and backstage areas for quality and safety, working with Performance Coordinators to give show notes, partnering with Attraction Operations to maintain show flow, communicating with Technical Managers, holding pre and post event meetings, completing nightly reports, administering counselings, providing written feedback on performance and creating a production book. Computer skills required for payroll data entry and UO operating systems.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises and evaluates all talent and administrative staff for the assigned venue (s). This includes but is not limited to the training of all new employees assigned to the venue and assessing employee performance both annually and quarterly.
  • Periodically represents the Entertainment Department as Manager on Duty (499) for all entertainment venues in their assigned park. Responsibilities include but are not limited to problem solving all issues involving the venues as well as employees and communicating those issues to the appropriate Management Representation.
  • Effectively communicates necessary information which pertains to the operation of the assigned entertainment venue(s), to both upper management and employees of the venue(s).
  • Assures that all administrative duties are completed in a timely, accurate manner including but not limited to scheduling, payroll, daily flash, overtime summary and other budgetary functions for the assigned venue(s).
  • Administers all company policies & procedures as well as handle all employee relations issues pertaining to the assigned venue (s).
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Bachelors degree from a four year college or university in related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • One to three years previous supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
  • Six months to one year experience within the professional entertainment or theme park industry required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly supervises the Entertainment Coordinator at assigned venue (s), directly supervises all performers assigned to the venue(s), and indirectly supervises Technicians assigned to the venue.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures.

ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER: Support the Stage Manager in operating and maintaining their area. Duties include monitoring all performance and backstage areas for quality and safety, giving performance notes, following up with coordinators on a regular basis, holding pre and post event meetings with Stage Managers and Coordinators, holding nightly meetings with cast and technicians, ensure the cast follows proper rotations, input schedules, cover call-ins, and input nightly scheduling adjustments for cast, Techs, and Coordinators, completing nightly reports, administering counselings, working with Stage Manager to provide written performance feedback, and creating a production book. Computer skills required for payroll data entry and UO operating systems.

  • Effectively communicates necessary information which pertains to the operation of the assigned entertainment venue(s), to both upper management and employees of the venue(s).
  • Administers all company policies & procedures as well as handle all employee relations issues pertaining to the assigned venue (s).
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The above positions in Marquee Events require:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Maintaining a clean work environment with use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to work in loud, crowded environments with exposure to fog effects, strobe lights, and extreme heat and cold.
