This will be for a 2nd shift position - 2:00PM-10:30PMPosition Summary
Provides for protection and security of hospital assets and for the patients, visitors and guests.Education/Training High school graduate or equivalent. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word for report writing purposes.Licensure/Certification Valid Florida drivers license and must be insurable under the Orlando Health insurance carriers requirements and standards.(1Security officers, who are unable to maintain this requirement after at least 90 days of employment must sign a No Driving Document which will be maintained in the officers department file and remain in effect until the approval to drive is given by the insurance carriers as determined during routine driving records checks.) Must obtain a State of Florida Class D Security Officer License through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services within 90 days of hire renewed biannually. Must obtain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification within 90 days of hire renewed annually. Experience
One (1) year security experience required.Essential Functions Maintain order, discipline, and security within assigned areas in the absence of the shift Captain. Assists with the training of new officers and on-going training for current officers. Provides input to the Captain for Security Officers performance reviews. Communicates proper information regarding patient or non-patient needs to security team members. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
