Arnold Palmer Hospital at Orlando Health is currently seeking a Senior Research Scientist to join the Arnold Palmer Pediatrics Specialty Diagnostic Lab on the first shift. The Senior Research Scientist is responsible for leading and conducting independent research. Provide guidance to other support staff in the performance of protocol specific tasks.
PhD or MD
Knowledge of all regulatory requirements that pertain to clinical/medical research
Proficiency in research and the regulatory environment as evidenced by published research and peer-reviewed work.
Effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are required. Must have the ability to work effectively with staff, faculty and internal/external collaborators.
Ten (10) years of research experience working in area of expertise.
Leads day-to-day research activities; provides oversight, special training and acts as internal resource through interaction with technical personnel while gathering, analyzing and interpreting scientific data.
Exercises independent thinking and judgment in the absence of established protocols and procedures.
Serves as Principal, Co-Principal or Sub-Investigator on grants and contracts.
Participates in research grant application preparation.
Responsible for research protocol planning and IRB submissions.
