Adjunct Professor, Chemistry (Fall Term 2019)

We are currently seeking qualified Chemistry Adjunct Faculty for Fall 2019 with a personal and professional commitment to student learning to plan, organize and teach Chemistry classes as assigned. This is a great opportunity to share your discipline specific knowledge with our students while earning competitive pay and working flexible hours and days. The assigned campus location may vary based on enrollment.

Our Adjunct faculty work collaboratively with other faculty in support of curricula improvement as appropriate to promote students' success and mastery of course and program competencies.

Required Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Chemistry.

OR

Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in any combination of the following qualifying fields:

• Biochemistry

• Chemistry

• Environmental Sciences

• Food Sciences

• Forensics

• Pharmacy

*Note: IDS and ISC courses to be evaluated on a course-by-course basis as these courses are interdisciplinary in nature.

2. Teaching experience.

Desired Qualifications:

1. Demonstrated understanding of the learning centered approach to teaching.

2. Professional certification is desired.

THIS IS A POOL POSITION FOR FALL 2019. Adjunct positions are temporary, part-time and filled based on enrollment. The Dean or their designee will contact any applicants selected for interview.

Hourly rate is per contact hour according to the Non-Bargaining Unit Salary Schedule and is based on course type and educational degree.
