Job Title: Floor Care Attendant
Department: Housekeeping
Report to: Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Coordinators
OVERVIEW / POSITION PURPOSE:
Ensure all aspects of the day-to-day routines within the floor, carpet and upholstery care of the Housekeeping Department are met, with direct responsibility for the cleanliness of all floors, carpets and upholstery in Villas, Public Areas and Laundry with great attention to details.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tile and Laminate Cleaning
- Ensure all villa and public areas floor care and restoration are fulfilled daily, weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, bi-annually as indicated on floor cleaning schedule
- Strip, wax, rebuff and spot clean floors in villas
- Strip, wax, rebuff and spot clean floors in public areas
- Maintain log of all floor cleaned on a daily basis
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe work environment
Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning
- Clean carpet and upholstery as requested by Housekeeping managers and/or Coordinators
- Deep clean at least 5 villa carpets per day
- Complete requested work orders for carpet care
- Maintain log of all carpets and upholstery cleaned on a daily basis
Additional Duties
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe work environment
- Complete special projects as established by Housekeeping managers and/or Coordinators
All other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS BEYOND NORMAL OFFICE ENVIRONMENT:
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, balance, use hands and arms
- Ability to lift up to 75+ pounds, unassisted
- Work in outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, to include rotating shifts, nights, weekends and/or extended hours of work
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EDUCTAION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to perform daily functions with minimal supervision
- Proficient in the appropriate usage of equipment/machinery and specialized chemicals required in the care of varied floor surfaces.
- Ability to perform all general aspects of floor care, carpet and upholstery cleaning.
- Demonstrates creativity in cleaning solutions when floor, carpet and/or upholstery cleaning challenges evolve
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with guests, co-workers and management
- Good decision making skills to ensure a safe work environment
- Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including a golf cart
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- High School Diploma
- 3 years of multi-floor cleaning and restoration experience
