Walt Disney World Co. currently has full-time openings for Area Mechanic-HVAC Refrigeration Techs

Responsibilities :
To do troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational procedures in all phases of plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, refrigeration work including, air cooled and water cooled chillers. Must be able to repair valves, bearings, belts and sheave replacement, coil and pan cleaning, blueprint reading, controls, blower and shaft replacement, insulation and damper repair, motor repair / replacement, pump rebuilding and maintenance of boilers and air compressors. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of mechanical systems, including convection boilers, steam generation equipment, hot water heaters, and boilers, walk-in coolers / freezers, under counter refrigeration, ice machines, and various types of refrigeration equipment.

Basic Qualifications :
  • Must be able to troubleshoot, calibrate and adjust pilots, thermostats and burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems.
  • Must be able to use the tools of the trade (e.g. multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, hand tools etc.).
  • Must be highly motivated and reliable with strong communication skills.
  • Must work well with others and be a productive member of a diverse team.
  • Must possess Universal CFC certification or have Type I and II certification and be able to obtain Universal within 90 days of hire.
  • Familiarity with energy management systems and HVAC controls preferred.
  • Shift and days off may vary.
