 The Project Manager provides leadership on multiple medium and large business projects; These activities include implementing action plans, stakeholder analysis, risk management, and business project resource management, project communication, project cost, implementation, communicating project status to key project members and stakeholders and performing project post mortems. The position will have responsibilities to work with external vendors and partners in support of project initiatives. Works across multiple business areas to manage both receivables and business deliverables.


The Project Manager supporting Property operations should demonstrate business strategy, business process and product knowledge of the revenue producing initiative(s). This position will often act as a liaison between the business leadership, resort and ownership, requiring the ability to develop relationships, effectively manage negotiations and communicate at the executive level.  

  

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

· Project Management: 

o Project Initiation 

o Project Planning 

§ Create overall Project Plans
(Schedule and Timelines, Milestones, Communication Plan, etc.). 

§ Creates and executes project work plans and conducts all project changes procedures and approval tasks as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.  

§ Identifies resources and assigns individual responsibilities for project support. 

§ Engages project coordinators as needed to care for large scale projects, which require additional project management support. 

o Project Execution & Implementation 

§ Track projects against time lines, budget, scope, risk, and end product expectations. 

§ Partners with our other business units to ensure seamless and on time delivery of projects that span across the property. 

§ Responsible and accountable for delivery of projects on-time, on-budget, and meeting functional and scope specifications 

§ Assesses, prepares and presents project implementation schedules for stakeholder evaluation and approval. 

§ Conduct project team meetings and hold team accountable for objectives, communicates objectives and ensures completion of deliverable. 

§ Project Communication - Provides regular report outs based on documented Communication Plans (Stakeholder Communications, Status Reports, Project Snapshot, etc.) 

o Project Monitoring and Controlling 

§ Collaborates with project team, sponsors and/or leadership team to resolve organizational impacts and implement mitigation strategies that protect the baseline operations during the project duration. 

§ Reviews deliverables prepared by team members, prior to implementing. 

§ Effectively applies project methodology and enforces project standards. 

§ Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures. 

§ Minimizes exposure and risk on projects. 

§ Ensures all project team members are on schedule and ensures appropriate and timely information to all relevant parties regarding project status. 

§ Develops and maintains effective working relationships with key internal business partners, including all levels of company management, as well as personnel from multiple cross-functional departments. 

o Project Closing 

§ Partners with managers in order to successfully integrate continuous program management and governance into the
operation, and properly close out projects/initiatives. 

§ Performs all project close out activities (lessons learned, budget closures, business transitions etc.). 

§ Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. 

· Project Evaluation: 

o Perform audits, identify trends, determine system improvements/impacts and implement change 

o Evaluate project risks, issues, dependencies and required business decisions which are critical to achieving project goals and timely implementation. 

· Business Acumen/Partnership Development: 

o The Project Manager is expected to develop relevant knowledge of upstream, downstream, internal and external processes that directly impact each line of business we support. 

o They will collaborate with other business areas to share best practices for efficiency, customer service and
business impact. 

o Must have the ability to influence others, gain buy-in and build effective business relationships.
