POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible for prepping ingredients and assembling dishes according to restaurant recipes. Execute all line duties including opening and closing procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Prepare all menu items and daily specials following recipes.
•Maintain a solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation.
•Ensure all supplies necessary to execute service and prepare your station are up to par.
•Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
•Transport supplies from the storeroom and stock in designated areas.
•Ensure all products are rotating on a FIFO philosophy.
•Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.
•Ensure all equipment is (ovens, grills, burners, salamanders, and fryers) clean and ready for use.
•Prep additional items as needed. 
•Create professional working relationships with all colleagues.
•Able to work as a team, assisting all service professionals, guests and members.
•Complete all opening & closing duties as established by management.
•Attend hotel/staff meetings as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
•Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.
•High School Diploma or higher required.
•Minimum of 1 year of line cook experience in a comparable fast-paced environment preferred.

REQUIREMENTS
•Working knowledge of knives, knife skills, and kitchen equipment.
•Working knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation/HACCP procedures.
•Working knowledge of weights, measures, and various cooking techniques.
•Professional appearance and demeanor.
•Must work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
•Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
•Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
•Be able to work in a hot, cold, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
•Be able to reach, stoop, bend and lift up to 40 lbs.
•Position requires full flexibility in scheduling to work AM/PM, weekends & holidays, in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
•Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
