Job Title:        Memory Market Coordinator
Department:   Guest Services
Reports To:     Assistant Guest Services Manager

OVERVIEW/POSITION PURPOSE: 

Every GKTW guest, volunteer, visitor, or paying customer visiting Memory Market is 100% satisfied with the service, equipment and process, understanding that Memory Market compliments the storybook experience for wish families as well as adds to the quality experience for each volunteer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Memory Market

  • Maintain merchandise inventory by performing inventory counts and completing requisitions
  • Tag merchandise items in an efficient manner
  • Maintain cash box in an effort to maintain credibility and integrity for the Memory Market team.
  • Track trends and comparisons with previous year.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to Leadership regarding merchandise sales.
  • Maintain Memory Market Displays

Volunteers

  • Lead volunteers by example in providing exemplary service and coach volunteers in onstage/offstage behavior as needed
  • Foster successful volunteer program to increase the efficiency of Gift Shop, Media Center, Personalization, Family Scrapbook and Memory Keepers processes.
  • Provide monthly volunteer updates.
  • Recruit and train qualified volunteers in each area—Gift Shop and Photography.
  • Plan and lead volunteer appreciation efforts—both ongoing and at designated times throughout the year.

Guest Photos

  • Ensure wish family receives personal photos from their Village visit
  • Provide immediate response and resolution to any missing photos.
  • Support wish-granting organizations by providing family photos as requested.
  • Perform photo downloads
  • Monitor camera inventory
  • Ensure cameras are maintained and repaired to ensure adequate supply

Paver Program

  • Process sales of pavers either in-person, via email or over the phone.
  • Communicate installation information with Development and Engineering Support Coordinator

PHYSICAL DEMANDS BEYOND NORMAL OFFICE ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to lift and move boxes, cartons, and/or medical equipment and/or luggage weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage volunteers
  • Ability to speak and write English clearly & articulately with a positive, professional & pleasant manner
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain multiple priorities and ability to adapt quickly and easily to a changing environment.
  • Ability to work with all types of individuals, including: guests, co-workers, volunteers, vendors and leaders.
  • Must be able to use creative problem solving skills and demonstrate decisiveness
  • Demonstrates great attention to detail
  • Proficient in PC skills including Microsoft Office {Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf cart
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • 2 years of experience in a customer service environment
  • 2 years of experience with administration of a program requiring detailed reporting
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in a retail environment preferred
