Primary job duties are:
- Conducts visual and measurement test in receiving inspection to ensure incoming product meets requirements.
- Use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages, multi-meters, etc.) to inspect parts and assemblies for compliance to the design data
- Maintains quality records in accordance with AS9100, Government and FAA requirements
- Maintains accurate quality records including: inspection records, calibration records, and corrective action reports
- Write Nonconforming Material Reports when required and be familiar with the process of quarantining products that have been rejected
- Interpret structural and electrical drawings, drawing notes, and Bill of Materials to ensure parts and assemblies are in compliance with the design data
- Use design data to ensure parts and assemblies have been part mark in accordance with 14 CFR Part 45
- Interact with Government and Customer Source Inspection Representatives as needed
- Some secondary duties include but are not limited to: gage calibration, MRB disposition, AS9102 FAIR, reviewing material certs, shipment document review and performing internal audits.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of inspection/quality control experience, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Must have a solid background in inspection of dimensional devices and components
- Ability to follow documented procedures, work instructions, and customer required records
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Excellent written, oral, communicational, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with all regulations regarding quality, FAA, ISO, and AS9100
- Must be proficient at GD&T
- J-STD Certification a plus
- Experience with AS9100 and QMS requirements
- Must be familiar with the use of measuring and test equipment included but not limited to micrometers, dial calipers, dial indicators, and depth micrometers.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be able to read and write, and understand English.
- Ability to multitask and work independently with little supervision
