Handles advanced culinary duties in the Kitchen to include preparing and cooking foods; preparing drinks; skillfully plating appetizers, desserts and sushi; organizing materials and equipment; and general clean up.

Essential job Functions:

  • Portion, plate, prepare and cook foods for the daily restaurant operation; prepare sushi rice; prepare and portion sushi items; prepare Sushi, both hand-formed and rolled; prepare sauces and soups; and clean and portion meats. Butcher meat and cut fish.
  • Maintain Food Quality by constantly inspecting all food items for freshness and bringing questionable food products to the attention of Management.
  • Follows Food Safety, Sanitation and HACCP procedures.
  • Follows company and state sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years culinary related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Culinary School diploma preferred but not required.
