General Description of the Job Class
Working with interior designers, hotel owners and operators, position will assist project manager with pricing, ordering and expediting of furniture, fixtures and equipment (ff&e) and/or operating supplies & equipment in a timely manner within the overall budgetary, schedule and design constraints.
Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager with the Interiors FF&E /OS&E purchasing process for each assigned project including:
- Working within established schedules
- Interior Design / OS&E Specification review process
- Interior Design plan review and furniture quantification
- Bidding and pricing FF&E/OS&E based on approved tender list
- Assist Project Manager in budget development
- Prepare and process various forms involving purchase orders, change orders, exception reports, bid requests, and other buying procedures
- Manage submittal process (Drawings, Finishes, CFAs etc.)
- Coordinating logistics/shipping and expediting of goods from various points of shipment
- Working within established budgets and schedules
- Basic project accounting.
- Value engineering / re-selections
Required Qualifications at this Level:
Education:
Successful candidate will possess a A.A. or A.S degree in a related field (Hospitality Interior Design, Business, etc.). Must have proven ability to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to multi task Knowledge of Hospitality interior design and/or project management is preferable.
Skills:
REQUIRED: Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (ability to create new workbooks & Documents and work within existing documents), Ability to work in purchasing system and read interior design drawings and specifications
Compensation Package:
Class: Full-time employee
