Report to:   Marketing and Communications Manager

Status:         Full Time/Non- Exempt

Location:     Central Florida

Position Summary:

Performs functions related to general marketing, event planning, collateral development and media/public relations activities. Assists Marketing and Communications Manager to ensure full continuation of work toward company marketing, public relations, and business development goals. 

Job Description:

• Develop customer-focused material targeted to various audiences.
• Develop and create the design and content of selected marketing materials.
• Research, develop and implement strategies to expand the company’s social media presence.
• Assist in maintaining the brand across various channels, including overseeing social media activities.  
• Prepare presentations for various events and audiences.
• Research and maintain contact lists for information dissemination to targeted audiences.
• Research and stay current on industry-specific trends and news as a resource for marketing materials.
• Assist in maintaining content on the company’s internal and external web sites.
• Coordinate event management plans and assist with company events and programs for internal and external markets.
• Develop and implement communication plans for internal and external marketing initiatives.
• Support various marketing and business development activities as needed.
•  Assist in the development, research and implementation of company marketing plans.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related field required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marketing position. Technical industry experience preferred.
• Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Demonstrated proficiency in graphic design and desktop publishing software, including InDesign and Adobe Photoshop
• Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging social media in a business environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in writing, proofreading & editing
• Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and work within deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Able to approach tasks independently and also work as part of a team
• Professional demeanor required to represent our company to our customers and the community
• Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug testing
