Precision Machine Shop in Apopka is seeking an individual for a Light Assembler position.
Highly repetitive, simple short cycle mechanical assembly following prescribed routing or where method of assembly is obvious. Work is typically performed at a bench and may include standing or walking some of the time.
-Read routers, blueprints, work instructions, and schematics to identify components and specifications that are required for assembly conformance.
-During the assembly process is involved with inspection, removing and installing fasteners, painting, pressing pins, and other mechanical tasks.
-Regularly performs mechanical operations by hand, with tools and with machinery.
-Performs inspections of components before, during and after assembly process and documents results.
To perform this job successfully the candidate must demonstrate the following competencies and meet the following qualifications:
-Manufacturing and/or machine shop experience is preferred.
-Extremely detail oriented
-Ability to perform basic blueprint reading and/or follow written specifications/instructions to conduct visual inspection or measuring
-Ability to use common hand tools and operate assembly machines
-Ability to follow demonstrated steps, making adjustments, fitting and aligning to ordinary tolerances.
Salary: $13.00-$16.00 (Depending On Experience)
Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM & Most Fridays 6:00AM-2:30PM (Overtime)
Term: Fulltime to Hire
