The Director of Clinical Engineering Operations Develops the core operational support services to support the clinical engineering technical platforms, capabilities, and services that support business processes and data. This work may include mapping the relationships between clinical engineering infrastructure components (i.e., radiology modalities, clinical systems and equipment) and identifying the key technology interactions and dependencies across systems/platforms impacting the organizations ability to maintain operational support for the clinical engineering systems involving integration, compatibility, and performance targets of various clinical engineering alternatives.


Bachelors degree required.


Ten (10) years of related Clinical Engineering/ Biomedical experience to include a minimum of five (5) years of management experience.

Proven success in team building and strong presentation skills required.

Essential Functions

Provides administrative, strategic and operational direction to all areas of responsibility within Clinical Engineering and the Ambulatory and Acute departments for the facilities within Orlando Health.

Responsible for developing and implementing annual strategic goals that are in accordance with the existing corporate strategic plans approved by Senior Management.

Responsible for developing multi-year strategic direction and goals for maintaining operational support for clinical engineering areas for all Acute Care and Ambulatory locations.

Responsible for effective equipment management and to promote a quality environment that supports the goals of the team and the Orlando Health community through professionalism, teamwork and strategic planning.

Responsible for knowledge of appropriate codes, standards and regulations and implementing actions that ensures compliance.

Manages various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.

Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
