SouthSeminole Hospital is a 206-bed, full-service, medical/surgical communityhospital located in scenic Longwood, Florida. The hospital is a part of OrlandoHealth and serves the residents of Seminole County, Florida. South Seminole Hospital is home to Orlando HealthBehavioral Healthcare, an 80-bed psychiatric hospital. Patients suffering frommental and addictive disorders, such as major depressive disorders, depressionand bipolar disorder to schizophrenia, as well as addictive behaviors stemmingfrom drug and alcohol use, are treated at this facility. Education/Training:

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Meets all mandatory and developmental requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department

Licensure/Certification:

  • Maintains current Florida RN license and BLS/Healthcare Provider certification are required
  • ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas. PALS required for Pediatric Critical Care areas. NRP required for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). (See unit specific requirements for specialty certification)

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of RN hospital experience and depending on the specialty 2 years
  • Based on area of assignment, specialty courses and specialty experience may be required
