Seminole State College of Florida is accepting applications for a full-time History Associate Professor in our beginning Fall Term 2021. This is a bargaining unit position on track for continuing contract. The contract length is 164; however, other contract lengths, may be available depending on department needs. We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic teaching applicants who exhibit a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to our students, and the demonstrated ability to motivate and educate in an engaging manner. Teaching responsibilities consist of History related courses.

Salary is based on education and related work experience in accordance with the Salary Schedule in Article 26 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

1. Master’s degree from an accredited institution in History
Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in History
1. Demonstrated understanding of the learning centered approach to teaching desired.
2. Experience utilizing technology and innovative pedagogy to deliver exceptional teaching and learning desired.
3. Teaching experience desired.
4. Ability to teach the two primary United States History courses: AMH 2010 United States History
to 1865 & AMH 2020 United States History 1865 to Present
