Job Title:         Housekeeping Attendant

Department:  Housekeeping

Report to:       Director of Village Operations

SUMMARY OF OVERALL PURPOSE:

Ensure all aspects of the day-to-day cleanliness routines within Housekeeping are met and or exceed expectations. Has great attention to details in order to provide guests a perfect storybook experience.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Perform scheduled cleaning for designated area

  • Clean designated area by following all cleaning standards and utilizing the proper chemicals
  • Dust all high and low areas and ensure interior walls/doors/vents are free of dust
  • Maintain floors by vacuuming all carpeted areas, sweeping porches, sweeping and steam mopping all tiled areas
  • Remove all outside trash/small debris and remove other trash as needed

 Maintain Equipment

  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment
  • Keep housekeeping carts organized and clean for proper working condition
  • Inspect vacuums for repairs or bag replacement
  • Collect and returns keys, radio and golf cart in an efficient manner
  • Monitor chemical volumes and communicates when items need to be ordered

 Promote a Safe Work Environment

  • Follow all safety procedures to ensure personal and guest safety
  • Report areas in need of repair to coordinators or management or engineering in a timely fashion
  • Ensure guest safety by using available wet floor signs when mopping
  • Follow all driving policies while using golf carts

Complete Area Specific Needs

  • Villas: Change all linens for checkouts on a daily basis, and assist with stripping of villas as needed
  • Public Areas: Walk the village to pick up trash.
  • Remove debris from all bushes and trees

All other duties as assigned

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS OUTSIDE NORMAL WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Able to work a flexible shift to meet department needs, this includes availability for days, nights, weekends and extended hours
  • Able to bend and stand for long periods of time
  • Able to lift/move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in outdoor weather conditions

 SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and maintain a high level of performance
  • Customer-oriented and friendly
  • Good prioritization and time management skills
  • Ability to work quickly without compromising quality
  • Ability to communicate any needs or ideas to help improve work environment
  • Knowledge of the English language
  • Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf cart
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • At least 3 years of experience in housekeeping in a professional environment
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred
