Title: Director of Housekeeping

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain monthly expenses in accordance with annual budget, and make adjustments as necessary
  • Oversee payroll for Housekeeping and Laundry
  • Maintain OSHA standards, and ensure DBPR guidelines are being followed
  • Monitor training programs for cleaning, chemicals, policies/procedures and equipment
  • Ensure proper disciplinary procedures are followed and consistent
  • Develop managers and staff, while also ensuring that annual performance evaluations are completed in a timely manner
  • Conduct suite inspections, and public area inspections as necessary
  • Liaise between vendors ensuring product quality, cost effectiveness and equipment endurance
  • Schedule and monitor projects to ensure consistency throughout the resort
  • Monitor Laundry production and equipment maintenance
  • Oversee departmental meetings, ensuring proper communication throughout the department
  • Inspire and motivate team, including management, supervisors, and associates

Job Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as Director of Housekeeping of at least 4 years
  • Prior experience with Laundry of at least 4 years
  • Experience in a Convention Hotel with at least 1,000 rooms/suites preferred
  • Must be an inspirational leader
  • Clear, concise communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
