Insurance Advocate Manager
Overview
Reporting to the Sponsorship Director, this position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of 35 Insurance Employees working at hospital sites and remote. Monday -Friday 8 to 4:30pm. This position will require some travel and possible weekends.

Responsibilities
· Hire and train new Insurance Advocates
· Delegate daily work assignments
· Assist staff with ACA Marketplace applications and approval of insurance plans
· Review hospital daily status report for any workflow, accuracy, or process issues
· Check employee follow ups due
· Check that employees are responding to emails and phone messages
· Hold weekly team meetings
· Approve team timecards and time off requests
· Maintain staff schedules both on and off site as needed
· Identify and correct any HIPAA compliance issues
· Assist and train onsite and offsite employees with application processes and all other services
· Complete employee performance reviews, disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans
· Approve supply requests
· Attempt to resolve a patient or client complaint or concerns before escalating to Director of Operations
· Report concerns with any daily workflow processes, FileMaker problems, issues with employees, patient or client complaints as soon as reported.
· Update training manual as changes are made to processes and Marketplace changes
· Other duties as assigned
· Some travel to facilities is to be expected
· Based out of Central Florida
Qualifications & Skills:
· High School Diploma required
· College Degree or some college preferred
· Three to five years of Insurance knowledge or Call Center environment
· At least three years of prior experience managing a staff
· Understanding of copay, co-insurance, and deductibles with commercial insurance
· Understand qualifications of Medicaid and Disability
· Ability to communicate effectively in speaking and writing as needed
· Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
· Perform basic operations in Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
· Organized
· Attention to detail
· Work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds

While performing the duties of this job
· Ability to sit for long periods of time entering data into the computer
· Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds
