Position Title: Office Housekeeper

POSITION SUMMARY

The Office Housekeeper will perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and sanitizing. Ensuring all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards. Protecting equipment and making sure there are no inadequacies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Empty trash cans and replace liners as necessary.
  • Wipe down the front desk and surrounding areas.
  • Clean and polish water fountains.
  • Perform daily grounds trash pickup.
  • Empty ashtray outside.
  • Wipe and disinfect tables/chairs/counter tops/sinks
  • Clean/disinfect the microwave ovens.
  • Rinse out coffee pots and wipe down coffee stations.
  • Clean and sanitize toilets and urinals.
  • Clean and sanitize bathroom sinks and counter tops.
  • Wipe down bathroom partitions.
  • Clean and sanitize bathroom mirrors, and dispensers.
  • Sweep/mop and disinfect bathroom flooring.
  • Clean water coolers.
  • Sanitize all touch points in common areas.
  • Observes all health/safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Employee may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

SKILLS

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Certificate from college or technical school; or 2 – 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

Regularly required to sit, speak, and listen; occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
