Maintenance Technician 

The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Chief of Engineering. This position's role is to maintain all guestrooms and public areas to the utmost satisfaction of our guests and Exploria Company standards. 

Job Summary:

• Provides exceptional service to all guests and potential guests by assisting them in a friendly, efficient,
• Performs necessary repairs and preventive maintenance tasks in a manner responsive to guest satisfaction and to preservation of Company assets in a safe, cost- effective manner.
• Requires advanced knowledge of maintenance skills
• Requires ability to handle all aspects of hotel/resort maintenance.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operations is required (may require CPO Certification). Development, implementation and monitoring of programs that assures a safe facility and work environment that is in compliance with all appropriate regulations – ergonomic, emergency response, and injury prevention.
• Requires general knowledge of building maintenance to include minor electrical repair, appliance repair and plumbing.
• Requires self-motivation and organizational skills.
• Requires ability to be available for emergency repairs.

Qualifications:

• Requires minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or related field is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent

Required Competencies:

• Must be punctual, dependable and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure and take initiative in a fast paced environment.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Communicate effectively in English

Physical Demands:

• Work outdoors for extended periods of time
• Constant standing with some walking.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up 50 pounds
