The Back-Of-House is a vital shift that requires a high level of organization and attentiveness. As BOH you will be required to prepare, cook, and present food while maintaining a neat and clean work area. BOH is also responsible for the organized break down of food prep area at events.
The Back of House position’s pay rate starts at $12/hour and goes into effect after all criterion of the BOH certification have been met.
BOH must
- be able to lift a minimum of 15lbs, possibly more with assistance, especially cambros
- be able to drive a packed company vehicle.
- have a general knowledge of all items used for events (chafer, bus tub, jigger, ramekin, etc.).
- have a general knowledge of overall event flow.
- have good communication skills.
- possess the ability to count and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- know how to properly clean, sanitize, and store kitchen & other event items.
- be able to set up a buffet, chef carving station, and pasta station.
