Named by USA TODAY the “Number One Thing To Do In Orlando in December” for 2020, Give Kids The World Village's Night of a Million Lights holiday event is seeking individuals to fill full and part-time seasonal jobs from Tuesday, Nov. 9 - Tuesday, Jan. 4. Please note that all positions require work on nights, weekends and holidays, with shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm each night. Applicants will not be required to work every night.

Due to the nature of this event, we will be unable to grant requests for days off once shifts have been assigned to you. By submitting your application, you are acknowledging that you have complete flexibility and are able to work shift within the time frame outlined above.

SUMMARY OF OVERALL PURPOSE:

Primarily oversees daily operation of Village Entertainment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Venues

Train and oversee volunteers on venue operation in an efficient and effective manner. Ensure proper inventory supply levels for Entertainment venues are maintained. Maintain all Entertainment venues so they are show ready. Collaboration

Ensure communication channels between Entertainment and all Village departments are open and clear. Operations

Follow established GKTW and Entertainment policies and procedures. Remove litter and debris from around venues and Avenue. Maintain safety at all times. All other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OUTSIDE NORMAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, crouch, balance, use hands and arms to lift/move objects. Able to consistently lift 50 lbs. unaided. Able to work outside for extended periods in varied outdoor conditions. Ability to work evenings and weekends, holidays, extended hours both on and off property.

Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience

Ability to problem solve. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Ability to multi-task and be flexible. Must have basic technical know-how and ability to learn audio/visual set up and operation. Must utilize time management to the fullest. Must be able to handle multiple volunteers in any given shift. Must have good communication skills to work with outside entertainment, staff, volunteers and Wish Families. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Computer skills to include- Outlook, Excel, Word, Access. Must meet acceptable attendance and punctuality requirements, which are essential functions for the position. Able to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf cart. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. High School Diploma. 1-2 years of entertainment/recreational experience. Ability to speak Spanish, preferred. Hospitality experience, preferred. Give Kids The World is a drug-free workplace.
