The Department of Information Technology at Rollins College is seeking an IT Operations Coordinator to join their team!

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists IT purchasing agent to fulfill technology procurement requests, including use of purchase card, POs, and direct pay.
  • Assists IT purchasing agent to perform market research on best pricing for products and services.
  • Assists IT purchasing agent to process new and renewing technology contracts through contract submission and approval software.
  • Works closely with IT Leadership Team to maintain and support IT department operations.
  • Works on diverse projects of small to medium size, scope, and complexity, with guidance from the IT Leadership Team.
  • Creates and maintains files and databases to enhance efficiency and productivity of IT department operations.
  • Researches and collects data to prepare documents for review and presentation.
  • Audits records for discrepancies and reconciles issues as appropriate.
  • Types, edits, and proofreads correspondence, meeting minutes, and reports containing detailed information.
  • Handles confidential documentation.
  • Assists in planning and scheduling of IT department meetings, events, workshops and programs.
  • Provides general administrative support for the IT Department as required.
  • Performs other relevant departmental duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience of office management systems and procedures.
  • Understand procurement functions and processes and ability to review purchase and service contracts.
  • Understand budget and finance knowledge and skills.
  • Strong written and verbal business communication skills; ability to communicate and coordinate with others on varied and occasionally complex issues in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Strong attention to detail in daily functions and communication in order to effectively develop, compile, and present information.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional manner with an emphasis on service quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to gather and analyze information and develop appropriate recommendations for action.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree.
  • Knowledge of a college environment, departments, procedures, and policies.
  • Work Schedule:The IT Operations Coordinator is scheduled to work 7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours per week. The schedule for this role is:
  • Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm*
  • *Flexible schedules or overtime may be required to meet the demands of the academic calendars.

Work Environment:

  • Campus-based position working in an office environment.
  • Primarily indoor environment which does require outdoor transit between buildings and occasional outdoor event support.
  • Physical activity includes walking across campus carrying or carting equipment, lifting up to 40lbs, bending, stooping, stretching, and standing.
