Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of routine administrative and technical duties in receiving, processing and routing of routine and emergency information.
  • Keeping of security related records such as technology audits, daily event logs, incidents, etc. and handling other related tasks assigned by Security Supervisor/Manager.
  • Receives, processes, and routes routine and emergency information by use of electronic phone system, two-way radio, MS Shift (Security Operations Software) or similar computer aided dispatch software (CAD).
  • Maintains communications, work area, equipment, and Security & Fire/Life Safety Systems to ensure that it is in clean and working condition, including but not limited to CCTV (Milestone VMS), Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP), Key Control/Traka Systems, SAFLOK or similar RFID hotel locking systems and access control, and/or other property specific systems.

Job Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of computers and electronic data processing software; working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; typing skill of at least 30 wpm
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English over two-way radio.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software's and technologies.
  • Ability to remain calm while handling stressful situations.
  • Ability to interact and build effective relationships with law enforcement and emergency first responders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or GED program equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a State of Florida Security Officer License (D License)
  • Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, & AED Certification within 90 days of employment
  • Ability to obtain a Crowd Manager Certificate within 90 days of employment.


  • Satisfactory skills competency performance on CCTV Operations as administered by Security Management.
  • Successful completion of the following from the FEMA Emergency Management Institute within 90 days of employment.
