Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Florida provides intensive therapeutic residential and learning programs and services for children and adolescents. Based in Orlando, FL, this position is with our DELTA program and is responsible for:

  • Providing in-community therapeutic services, therapeutic services with an interactive approach.
  • Work closely with individuals and families served in treatment planning, working with other team members in the treatment plan, and ensuring coordination of services is taken to meet the client needs.
  • Documenting therapeutic interventions in the client’s records in a timely manner, recommending and/or revise treatment interventions, and monitoring progress.
  • Coordinate appropriate discharge planning
  • Be a role model for all individuals and families served

Education:

  • Master's degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or human services field required
  • Two years' experience working directly with children and families. Preferred experience with children who are victims of exploitation or trafficking Preferred

Other Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's license
  • This position works in Clients' homes and in schools. 
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test.  Devereux requires all employees to obtain the annual Influenza Vaccine.
  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
