Overview

The Facilities Management Division is seeking a highly qualified District Maintenance Coordinator to assist with overseeing maintenance for our Downtown District Maintenance Office that is responsible for over 1.37 million square feet of space with an $8 million annual operating budget and 21 technicians. This position is responsible for the scheduling of maintenance work, prioritization of work assignments, quality control, and executing and maintaining a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for Orange County Courthouse, County Administration Center, Internal Operations Centers I&II, History Center, and Housing and Community Development.

Representative Duties

  • Coordinates and supervises trades staff and vendor services for repairs and maintenance of equipment, building systems.
  • Coordinates building preventive maintenance, assists with maintaining work records including schedules, receipts, safety & compliance reports, and maintenance logs.
  • Provides weekly and/or monthly facility and key performance indicator status reports.
  • Coordinates maintenance work with departments/divisions to minimize impact on building operations and customers.
  • Responds to and resolves emergency maintenance work (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, etc.)
  • Assists with monitoring contracted maintenance services
  • Assists with the planning, coordinating, and implementing emergency response.
  • Assists with the management of the Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) system, including receiving work requests, assessing existing conditions, assigning resources, entering system data, and providing overall system administration for the district.
  • Assures all assigned vehicles and equipment are properly serviced, maintained, and accounted for.
  • Assists with the annual budget process including identifying capital improvement projects, major operational budget items and the monitoring of district expenditures.
  • Assumes responsibility for the maintenance district in the absence of the District Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or equivalent and five years of progressively responsible facilities management experience to include two years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's license by date of hire. Must be able to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings. Must be able to perform mandatory Emergency Standby Duty.

  • Collective Bargaining Unit workforce experience (preferred)
  • OSHA Safety and operations training
  • Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel spreadsheet and Word documents
