Starting Salary:
Signal Construction Tech I: $17:87 to 22.78 hourly, depending on qualifications
Signal Construction Tech II: $18.94 to 24.14 hourly, depending on qualifications
Nature of Work:
Performs skilled journey level work in the installation and maintenance of traffic signal equipment (including school and fire warning signals.), overhead traffic signing, overhead internally lighted street name signs, and computerized signal system communication cable. Work may involve lead responsibility for the application of electrical/electronic traffic signal controls. Required to stand duty at night and weekends on a rotating basis. Assist contractors with house moves and other contractors with moving oversized loads through City streets.
