Nature of Work:
Performs technical and administrative work related to traffic signal projects. This position oversees and participates in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of sophisticated traffic signal electronic equipment. The incumbent coordinates work performed on signal projects with various contractors/municipalities and corresponds with project managers and engineers on a regular basis. Duties include plan reviews, review of proposals, change orders, letters of acceptance, invoicing inspections and attending progress meetings. This position requires the knowledge to diagnose and ability to repair/maintain fiber optics and use all equipment and tools associated with fiber optics.
Work Schedule: This position responds to all traffic signal emergency calls for all non-working shift hours on a rotating basis. Typically Monday through Friday, 6 pm to 6 am OR Friday 6 pm to Monday 6 am on 24-hr shifts.
