Minimum Starting Salary:
CADD Technician I – Certified$21.11 - 26.91, per hour depending on qualificationsCADD Technician II – Certified$22.29 - 28.42, per hour depending on qualificationsCADD Technician III – Certified$23.54 - 30.01, per hour depending on qualifications

Nature of Work:

Performs technical computer-aided drafting and design work preparing a variety of surveys, sketches, and design drawings for a variety of projects and City Departments. Also performs review of subdivision plats, legal descriptions planning and other land use cases and verified legal descriptions. Drawings range from simple sketches to complex boundary and topographical surveys requiring critical thinking and evaluation in how to approach each application requiring drafting or design. Provides review of surveys, drawings, documents and legal records for conformity and in respect to on-going projects and private development as it relates to applicable administrative codes, statutes and the City's Engineering Standards Manual. An employee in this position is responsible for following all applicable rules, codes, and ordinances in performing daily tasks. This includes following departmental procedures for design specifications and required accuracy. Instructions are given orally and in writing and are general in nature. Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed for neatness, accuracy, and conformance of desired work product and results desired. Must work directly with other employees to meet the requirements of each job and ensure timely completion.
