The Opportunity:

Responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing vulnerabilities. Conduct regular vulnerability scans and assessments to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities. Analyze and categorize vulnerabilities based on risk, severity, and impact. Work with stakeholders to develop remediation plans for critical and high-risk vulnerabilities. Track the progress of remediation efforts and provide regular status updates to leadership. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vulnerabilities and remediation activities. Develop and implement vulnerability management policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular vulnerability scans using automated tools and manual testing methods to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities in the university's systems and applications.

  • Develop and implement remediation plans for critical and high-risk vulnerabilities, working closely with the relevant teams and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.

  • Track the progress of remediation efforts, maintain accurate records of vulnerabilities and remediation activities, and provide regular status updates to management.

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the latest vulnerabilities, threats, and remediation techniques, and participate in training and certification programs as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using vulnerability management tool such as Tenable, MS Defender, or Qualys.

  • Experience performing vulnerability management and assessments at a large decentralized organization.

  • Experience with tools such as Risk Recon, BITSIGHT or similar platform.

  • Having led a vulnerability team is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of networking and networking protocols is a plus.

  • Certifications such as Security+ or a CISSP.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

We anticipate that well qualified candidates will fall with the salary range of: $89,076 to $122,479.
