Student Union

Known as the “Heart of Campus,” the Student Union sits at the center of the UCF's Orlando Campus. We provide space for members of the UCF community to study, socialize, eat, host events, attend meetings, celebrate traditions, and engage in campus life.

The Opportunity:

The Administrative Coordinator I reports to the Associate Director, Student Union. This position is responsible for assisting the Student Union's administrative operations. Located in the Heart of Campus, this position manages multiple aspects of the Student Union's internal processes and procedures. This position is also charged with supporting the Student Union's mission: "The UCF Student Union strives to create an innovative and inclusive environment acting as a catalyst for campus engagement. We are committed to building community by providing programs and experiences that foster student development within quality facilities."


  • Works closely with multiple Student Union teams to support important Student Union initiatives.

  • Provides guidance to and closely work with student leaders and student employees.

  • Creates processes and instructions for relevant Student Union office needs.

  • Runs various reports to track Student Union operations and functions.

  • Oversees payment and refund process for Student Union events.

  • Implements guidance from University Audit, Finance and Accounting, and Purchasing to ensure all appropriate controls are in place for payments.

  • Represents the department by serving on UCF committees.

  • Other duties as assigned including occasional shifts outside of normal working hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in student union, event center, or similar facility.

  • Ability to develop, implement, and enforce procedures required for efficient office operations.

  • Experience with Workday software or similar system.

  • High level of organization and attention to detail.

  • Experience with processing payments/refunds and other clerical processes.
