UCF's Advancement & Partnerships division comprises the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving and the UCF Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to assist donors wishing to offer private support to deliver resources beyond traditional funding sources, such as tuition, state support and government research grants. We are a powerful team of 130+ professionals who support the university by soliciting, accepting, and managing gifts as well as engaging alumni. Together, we work with alumni, friends, corporations, parents, and others who seek to make gifts in support of priorities and initiatives in alignment with the university's strategic plan.
The Opportunity:
The Advancement Data Specialist III is an important part of the Advancement Records and Gifts team and will assist with data acquisition and maintenance within the Advancement CRM and across other systems. The position primarily manages the import processes for constituent data updates as well as revenue imports. Additionally, the position assists with overall data maintenance and integrity as part of broader data governance strategies.
Responsibilities:
Serves as backup for current import processes for revenue and data updates. Data includes information from both internal and external sources. This data feeds metrics on alumni engagement and donor participation.
Processes any import exceptions.
Oversees the parent/subsidiary relationships for corporate entities and works collaboratively with partners on other Advancement Services teams to ensure correct reporting for corporate entities.
Completes assigned data cleanup projects and recommends additional projects based on daily work.
Maintains familiarity with both internal and external data sources such as Institutional Research, Registrar, Admissions, academic departments and programs, athletics as well as external resources such as web-based search engines, professional search services, NCOA and U.S. Postal Service to ensure accurate data.
Manages the Records and Gifts landing page on the Advancement and Partnerships intranet and collaboratively develops team content to be shared.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience reviewing, correcting and formatting datasets, with close attention to data accuracy.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet programs.
Comfort learning new technology platforms; prior experience in a nonprofit or higher education setting.
Exceptionally strong candidates will have direct experience with Blackbaud CRM or with Brightvine Datalink import tools.
Excellent organization skills with high attention to detail.
Special Instructions to Applicants:
The anticipated hourly rate for a well-qualified candidate is $22.57 - $27.14, depending on experience and education.
