Alumni Relations Representative

The Alumni Representative is charged with professionally and graciously representing Full Sail University's alumni in all matters pertaining to their careers, connections and professional community. It is the mission of the Alumni Representative to create, fortify and nurture meaningful relationships with the alumni and each other, on behalf of the University and their industries at large. Reports directly to the VP, Alumni Relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responds to a wide variety of requests and needs from the alumni on a daily basis.
  • Provides guidance, direction, support and assistance in a timely fashion and with clear communication and expectations.
  • Seeks to repair past omissions and restore authentic and reliable connection
  • Facilitates the creation, growth and engagement of Regional Alumni Chapters by leveraging existing groups and advocates.
  • Cultivates alumni stories to inspire current students and each other.
  • Embraces a proactive approach to reignite the relationship between the graduate and their university.
  • Documents all communications within appropriate platforms.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Represent at events such as Graduation, Career Networking Events, Hall of Fame, BTS, etc.
  • Host visiting alumni on campus for tours, student presentations, and sessions with Education and other divisions as is appropriate.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Director.

  • Ability to professionally and patiently navigate through a collective decision-making process that may include several layers of permission and supervisors.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Move with compassion and respect, while maintaining a positive attitude at all times.
  • Experience in researching, reporting, and social media.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Internet researching.
  • Working knowledge of entertainment, media, and technology industries. Self-motivated.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor degree preferred.

Computer/Equipment Skills:

  • Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, DropBox, GoTo Training.
  • Mac OS proficiency preferred.

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands: Employee must work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Physical requirements include the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
