Essential Job Functions
- Cheer Focused Coaching Experience to include: Stunting, Skills, Motions and Jumps
- Availability for practices that run from 4-6pm Monday through Friday, with games that go later
- Ability to promote a positive environment for all participants
- Supports the School's mission statement and the philosophy of the department and adheres to School policies and procedures, including but not limited to what is outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Teaches, instructs, analyzes, demonstrates, and explains basic skills, fundamentals, techniques, and strategies to student-athletes
- Provides for a safe and secure environment as well as practices associated with the sport
- Promotes individual growth in traits such as teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship at all times
- Understands and implements all appropriate rules and regulations according to the sport guidelines
- Establishes and maintains clear policies related to captain selection, team rules, etc.
- Maintains proper control and discipline in a positive manner by establishing good, wholesome rapport through healthy, professional relationships
- Instructs student-athletes in the proper care and use of practice facilities, equipment, and uniforms
- Accompanies and supervises student-athletes during all activities associated with the sport
- Stays abreast of the latest advances in all facets of the sport
- Markets and promotes all athletic teams/programs at Pine Crest
- Supports the philosophy of the Athletic Department
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Department Supervisor or their designee
