Position Overview

What you will be doing
- Classroom teaching in area of clinical expertise
- Evaluates and advises students
- Develops curricula
- Participates in curriculum development and revision
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Master's degree and 18 graduate credits in health field (e.g. Health Science, Public Health, Medicine). Current Florida license or eligible for a Florida license. Physician Assistants must possess a valid national certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
- Must demonstrate effective use of active learning and problem solving techniques
- Must be willing to work on multiple campuses/outreach locations
- Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
- Possess excellent organizational and human relations skills
- Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
- Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
- Ability to function well in a technological environment that includes using classroom and office multimedia resources
- Two (2) years of college or university teaching experience or a combination of college or university teaching and professional experience as a physician assistant
