Position Overview

Adjunct Faculty members teach courses to students pursuing a broad range of Associate in Arts, or Associate in Science degrees.

What you will be doing
  • Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Participates in departmental and College affairs
  • Develops curricula
  • Recruits students
  • Serves on committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education, Social Work, Guidance and Counseling or a related behavioral science; or a Master's Degree and 18 graduate hours in Psychology, Sociology, Education, Social Work, Guidance and Counseling or a related behavioral science
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments

Additional Requirements

The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
  • Preferably hold active in good standing license as Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) or on route to full license within year from being hired.
  • Copies of unofficial transcripts must be included for consideration.
