Will also assist Logistics Manager in developing the logistics department and refining warehouse and shipping operations.

Responsibilities

- Serve as the key point of contact for cross-functional teams, including Account Managers, freight forwarders, carriers, in-house Customs Brokerage, warehouse teams, and operations leadership regarding all U.S. delivery-related matters.
Operational Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day logistics coordination for shipments from Mowi plants.
- Oversee on-time delivery performance and make decisions or provide recommendations to resolve issues that arise during transit, including revising schedules to meet customer needs, delaying deliveries when necessary, and determining the appropriate course of action in unusual situations.
- Manage cold chain compliance for all prepaid customer shipments.
- Schedule delivery appointments for consolidated truck shipments.
- Coordinate inbound raw material deliveries to third-party cold storage facilities.
- Develop and maintain a diverse network of trucking companies and third-party logistics (3PL) providers, assigning and reassigning lanes based on carrier performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for trucking companies regarding U.S. product distribution.
- Assist with assigned special projects involving analysis to improve processes and optimize business performance.
- Research and conduct factual investigations of carrier claims, recommending appropriate corrective actions.
- Cross-train with other Logistics Coordinators to ensure operational flexibility.
- Develop the skills necessary to provide coverage during the Manager's planned PTO and other absences.
- Partner with the Miami Mowi USA Supervisor to optimize freight decisions, ensuring cost-effective service while maintaining 100% OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance.
- Participate in the continuous improvement process by evaluating broker performance and supporting the selection of the most effective brokerage partners.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess problems, think critically, and develop effective solutions.
- Advanced Excel skills are required.
- Strong IT and computer skills.
- Experience in the perishables industry is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while exercising sound judgment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities during busy periods while maintaining patience, professionalism, and attention to detail in stressful situations.
- Must be available outside of regular business hours to address urgent logistics issues when necessary.
Education
- High School Diploma (required).
- Bachelor Degree preferred; a combination of education and/or experience in lieu of degree.
