An Assistant Girls Soccer Coach works closely with the head coach to support player development, team performance, and program operations. Duties typically combine technical coaching, administrative support, and community engagement.
Support Coaching & Training: Assist in planning, organizing, and leading practice sessions; implement drills, tactics, and conditioning to improve skills and team performance.
Provide individualized feedback, mentoring, and motivation; monitor progress and adjust training as needed. Help develop game strategies, analyze opponents, and ensure players are physically and mentally ready for matches. Enforce team rules, promote sportsmanship, and maintain a positive, respectful environment. Maintain open lines with players, parents, administrators, and officials regarding schedules, expectations, and performance.
Ensure proper training techniques, injury prevention, and compliance with health and safety standards. Assist with scheduling, equipment management, record-keeping, and compliance with league or school rules.
Help scout and recruit players; organize camps, clinics, or community events to promote the program. Strong knowledge of soccer rules, tactics, and training methods.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to motivate and develop student-athletes.

In order to be considered for this position, applicant must currently possess a valid athletic coaching certificate, or a valid teaching certificate issued by the Florida Department of Education.
