The Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller's Operations Systems & Training department is seeking an energetic and innovative Technical Trainer to join their cutting-edge team! As a Technical Trainer I you will be responsible for delivering engaging and impactful training to new and existing employees in all areas of court operations and official records, i.e. Circuit/County Civil, Circuit/County Criminal, Unified Family Court, Jury, Recording, Record Services and Branch locations. This role requires a deep understanding of court and official records procedures, excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and educate a diverse audience.

Examples of Essential Functions

  • Conducts and manages all aspects of one-on-one training and classroom training for Court Operations and Official Records staff.
  • Coordinates and implements instruction in an orderly and professional manner, adjusting presentation approach and curriculum according to audience learning style and skill level.
  • Updates current training material as needed; assists with the development of new training materials.
  • Participates in peer review and testing for new training guides and online training courses.
  • Tracks and records participant attendance and achievement; evaluates performance and progress of trainees; prepares assessments and provides feedback to management; uses responsible judgment and discretion in communications and recommendations related to participant performance and/or behavior.
  • Confirms functionality of training facilities, equipment and materials to ensure proper working condition and adequate supply levels.
  • Reviews course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training.
  • Prioritizes and performs assignments to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Proficiently performs all assignments using various technology and applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Articulate, Vyond, Prezi and electronic training guides, including Canva.
  • Performs work outside and beyond normal working hours during times of critical deadlines, projects, or other time-sensitive duties. Non-exempt positions will be compensated for any hours worked over 40 in compliance with our overtime and compensatory time policies and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Typical Qualifications
Associate's degree in business administration, Education, Communications or related field, supplemented by one (1) year of recent and relevant experience.

Additional experience is accepted as a minimum requirement in lieu of a post-secondary degree on the following basis: additional four (4) years in lieu of a bachelor's degree, and additional two (2) years in lieu of an associate degree.

Automated systems technical training experience and working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Articulate, Vyond, Prezi and Canva preferred.
