The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff. Primary responsibilities include the daily cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms, restrooms, offices, cafeteria, and common areas in compliance with district custodial standards.
In addition, this position also assists with lawn care and exterior upkeep to ensure the grounds at assigned sites remain safe, attractive, and well maintained. The Custodian may support minor building maintenance tasks as directed, including routine inspections for cleanliness and safety. Issues requiring additional attention are reported to the Building Maintenance Supervisor.
The role requires flexibility to work independently and prioritize assigned responsibilities and respond promptly to facility needs throughout the day. The Custodian should demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service in support of young children, families, and staff.
