Digital Thread Execution Owner-Process Vertical Markets

Here at Siemens, we take pride in enabling sustainable progress through technology. We do this through empowering customers by combining the real and digital worlds. We do this through empowering customers by combining the real and digital worlds, thereby improving how we live, work, and move today and for the next generation! We know that the only way a business thrives is if our people are thriving. That's why we always put our people first. Our global, diverse team would be happy to support you and challenge you to grow in new ways. Who knows where our shared journey will take you?

Transform the everyday with us!

This role is within Sales Acceleration – Process Industries, with a focus on Chemicals, Glass & Energy, Life Sciences, and CPG. You will operate alongside selling vertical teams and solution architects — and you will be the person turning process-industry Digital Threads (Smart Production Orchestration, Automation Lifecycle Engineering & Modernization, Executable Digital Twin / Virtual Commissioning, Predictive Maintenance, and beyond) into repeatable, winning motions across these verticals. Defining what content/materials, demonstrations, and standard offerings should be made for the repeatable solutions that customers will deploy.

The Mission

Own the Sales Plays. Own the outcomes. Own the field's ability to repeat it

You will take a Digital Thread and turn it into an industrialized, delivery-ready commercial motion that every sellers can pick up and win with — whether they're in front of a chemical operator planning a DCS migration, a pharma customer standing up a new factory of the future, a CPG plant chasing OEE targets, or an energy customer maximizing their sustainability.

You are the founder & player-coach of your Sales Plays. You lead by doing the biggest digital-thread engagements alongside account executives, and Solution Architects — and then you codify what wins so the entire vertical field can run it. Credibility is earned in front of customers, not on an org chart.

This position is flexible to reside anywhere within the Continental United States.

You'll make an impact by:

Own the Sales Plays. Own the outcomes. Own the field's ability to repeat it

  • Industrializing Sales Plays for the Process Industries

  • Design, launch, scale, and evolve Sales Plays as the productized expressions of the Digital Thread — tuned to the realities of continuous, batch, and hybrid process environments across Chemicals, Energy, Life Sciences, and CPG.
  • Anchor every play to a validated Digital Thread framework, supported by scenarios, demos, content, and delivery muscle that's been proven in regulated, safety-critical, and 24/7 operating environments — not just promised.
  • Decide what ships and what doesn't. You call when a play is ready to scale, when it needs another pilot, and when it's time to retire it and build the next one.

Owning the Sales Engagement Model End-to-End

  • Bring the Digital Thread to life across every phase of Siemens' Sales Engagement Model — Attract → Engage → Deliver → Expand — with clarity on what happens in each stage, what "good" looks like in a process-industry pursuit, and how the handoffs flow.

Leading by Doing — In Front of Process-Industry Customers

  • Show up in the field. Co-lead Vision Workshops, Scoping Workshops, and executive briefings at strategic Chemicals, Energy, Life Sciences, and CPG accounts. The best Sales Plays are built by the people running them live — not from a conference room.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial engineering, chemical engineering, operations, business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience across B2B commercial execution, solution commercialization, portfolio strategy with meaningful time spent in one or more of Chemicals, Energy, Life Sciences, or CPG.
  • Proven experience operating at the system, platform, or portfolio level — translating strategy into repeatable execution adopted across sales and delivery teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in complex, matrixed organizations without direct line authority.
  • Travel estimated 30-35%
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without current or future company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience selling into or delivering for process industries — DCS environments, batch and continuous manufacturing, GMP / FDA-regulated operations, or energy transition and decarbonization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with process-industry Digital Threads and modernization drivers — plant lifecycle extension, IT/OT convergence, unified namespace architectures, predictive maintenance, operator training simulation, and modular automation (MTP).
  • Deep working knowledge of Digital Thread concepts as an execution framework — process flows, lifecycle integration, outcome validation — beyond the marketing pitch.
  • Experience designing or driving end-to-end sales engagement models (Attract → Engage → Deliver → Expand) with clear stage objectives and handoffs.
  • Background in industrial automation, digital transformation, PLM, MOM/MES, industrial software, or adjacent process-manufacturing domains.
  • Executive-level communication— able to align senior stakeholders around bold decisions and hold the line when needed.
