Responsibilities
- Conduct home visits targeting pregnant and parenting families with children 0-3, incorporating both social work and child development skills according to Head Start standards.
- Gain knowledge regarding clinical topics that impact families, such as infant mental health and maternal depression.
- Complete developmental and sensory assessments.
- Appropriately document your observations and interventions.
- Implement group planning and participate in socialization groups.
- Provide case management skills to aid families in accessing community resources.
- Engage parents in age-appropriate play experiences with their children.
- Assist families with goal setting and meeting goals.
- Participate in meetings that help maintain community collaborations.
- Participate in program meetings and weekly reflective supervision with a licensed professional.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and two year's experience working with young children and families.
- A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver's License or the ability to obtain prior to hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree and one year of experience working with young children and families.
- Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education/Social Work/Counseling or related field.
- Current Child Development Associate (CDA) or Home Visitor Child Development Associate (HV-CDA) Certification and one-year experience working with young children and families.
