Qualifications and Detail about the Position

Position Summary

As an Equipment Associate, you perform a variety of hands-on tasks that support daily branch operations. The primary goal is to assist service technicians, sales staff, and other branch personnel while ensuring rental equipment is clean, safe, inspected, and ready for customers. This role can serve as a career path into Driver, Erect & Dismantle Team, and Service Technician positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect returned equipment for damage, bends, split wood, and worn-out welds.
  • Accurate count of material for picks and returns.
  • Ensure rental equipment meets safety standards and has required safety decals.
  • Clean equipment and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Load and unload equipment safely.
  • Prepare equipment for rental and customer use.
  • Demonstrate equipment operation to customers as needed
  • Drive company vehicles for equipment pickup and delivery when required.
  • Provide support to branch staff and perform other assigned duties

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

  • Outdoor and warehouse/shop environment.
  • Frequent physical activity, including lifting, loading, cleaning, and moving equipment.
  • Safety-sensitive position requiring adherence to company safety policies.
