Responsibilities
The paraprofessional will work under the direction and supervision of certified staff to support the academic and behavioral needs of students in the classroom and other school settings. This role involves assisting with instructional activities, supervising students, and providing one-on-one or small group support to help students achieve academic success and positive social outcomes.

Associate or bachelor's degree, two years of college (60 credit hours), or successful completion of a state-approved paraprofessional assessment.

Responsibilities
The paraprofessional will work under the direction and supervision of certified staff to support the academic and behavioral needs of students in the classroom and other school settings. This role involves assisting with instructional activities, supervising students, and providing one-on-one or small group support to help students achieve academic success and positive social outcomes.
- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts introduced by the teacher.
- Support students with special needs by implementing IEP accommodations and modifications as directed.
- Assist with classroom management by monitoring student behavior and promoting a safe and respectful environment.
- Help with the preparation of instructional materials and classroom organization.
- Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and school events.
- Provide clerical support such as photocopying, filing, and data entry as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
- Participate in training and professional development activities as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow directions, take initiative, and respond flexibly to changing needs.
- Patience, compassion, and a commitment to supporting student learning and well-being.
